Developed and published a reproducible user research framework to optimize product decisions. The work included 2 white books and 1 talk, reaching over a thousand readers and providing teams with a strategic, UX-driven toolkit to make research-driven choices with confidence.
How can we restore meaning to the day-to-day operations of every member of a project and/or company, through a user knowledge framework, in a siloed social context where the rigidity of tooling, IT departments, and management is increasingly being challenged?
Meet-up
In 2023, I presented the conclusions of my research at a UX community meet-up in Paris,
sharing the methodology and findings with practitioners and product teams.
The talk starts at 1:10:24.
From Thesis to White Book
It was at Gobelins Paris that I first encountered Atomic Research. Created in 2018 by
Daniel Pidcock, this methodology for fragmenting and managing knowledge resonated with the many challenges I faced daily within the R&D department of a large
corporation.
End-of-studies thesis — UX Design certification at Gobelins Paris
Guided by my mentor and friend Michael Baeyens, I conducted the following research
throughout 2023:
18individual interviews with UX research and product management experts
8user tests
3co-design workshops with a total of 29 participants
81quantitative survey responses
These findings were complemented by many encounters at events organised by designer
communities in Paris. The culmination of this work was the co-authoring of 2 white books published in 2024: The ultimate guide to (REALLY) putting (ALL) user knowledge at the heart of your
product strategy and generating an… ATOMIC impact!
The conclusions of my work were numerous, and I continue to study and exchange with
many designers around this subject.
Atomic Research should be approached like a logical thinking unit — one we already
master with Atomic Design — but knowledge management is far more cultural than it
appears. That is why I always recommend integrating Atomic Research into a broader
journey, aimed at making designers' work as actionable as possible. Without this:
We fill a repository for nothing because everything ends up at the same level.

My Framework
Built in Coda.io, I demonstrated the strategic value of integrating Atomic Research
into a global process where user knowledge finally becomes a real driver of innovation
within the company.
You really push the research all the way through! And above all, you make it actionable.
